The solitary man struts the streets
Oblivious to the snow and the show
Gaze firmly fixed to the horizon
No rush - he's learned to take it slow
Besides no one's waiting beyond the horizon
He's stopped by a Witness bearing witness
Of the Kingdom which is to come
And he recalls the times he bore false witness
As he receives a map to Heaven
From the man on the watchtower
Reading material from now to kingdom come
Witnessed to, he walks on by
He then encounters two men in ties
Emissaries of a certain Joe Smith
On the coffee prohibition he has a million "why"'s
Might as well be emissaries from the Order of Sith
But they're nice enough
If a bit mysterious
Smithened, he walks on by
He's then offered his chance to go clear
Free of unwanted emotion and trauma
But the whole unreactive mind thing scares him
Clearly, he's not clear
On the requisite cost in drama
And on selfhood if he goes clear
Unclear, he walks on by
He then encounters a warlock and a witch
Who tell him that life without magic's a bitch
Emissaries of one Mister Gardiner
But the whole magic thing
Though wicked inspires nothing
He doesn't fancy the life of a druid gardener
Un-druid, he walks on by
He then encounters two horned gods that veered left
Who are in the darkest of arts rather deft
And paint their sixes in threes
But with the nine statements he's not sure he agrees
And the whole Crowley thing puts him off
With megatherion he's not sure he wants to hit it off
Bedeviled, he walks on by
The solitary man struts the streets
Oblivious to the snow and the show
Gaze firmly fixed on the horizon
And not those who claim to know
All there is to know
